Warehousing & Storage (Level 2)
The Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing and Storage is mainly aimed at candidates who undertake a variety of warehousing, storage and logistics activities at Level 2. The qualification is about the safe and efficient collection, management, storage, handling and dispatch of goods in a warehousing environment.
Candidates should have a degree of autonomy and be required to make decisions within agreed boundaries and limits.
Your assessor visits you regularly and you create a portfolio of work that involves logs and statements, which can be recorded or written, in conjunction with your employer.
To achieve this qualification, candidates will need to show competence in the different areas, completing mandatory units, plus a mix of different units to total a number of credits to achieve the full qualification.
The combination of units is reliant on the involvement of the candidate in the workplace. The qualification caters for all sizes of operations as can be used in a small retail outlet as well. If goods are received, stored and prepared for customers - this qualification is ideal.

- Maintain Health and Safety in the work place
- Develop effective working relationships with colleagues
- Pick goods
- Place goods in storage
- Wrap and pack goods
- Keep work place area clean and tidy
- Use and operate equipment to safely move goods
- Receive goods from deliveries
- Dispatch goods and materials from a warehouse environment
- Sort goods or materials for cycling
The Warehousing & Storage qualification demonstrates to an employer that the employee is capable and competent to do their own job and confirms to the employee that they have a range of flexible skills backed up by a nationally recognised vocational qualification.
Progression to level 3 qualification in Logistics or Management.
